        Exceptional Performance

by Guillaume on 3/23/2026 7:31:18 AM

I loved having a Polestar 2, it was a fun car to drive. My only complaint with the 2 is that it can feel crammed. So I upgraded to the Polestar 3 and was expecting to give up some of the sporty handling, but have found myself enjoying the driving experience just as much. The car also has great looks and the interior is luxurious without being showy. I’m no stranger to EV software glitches so was already expecting some of those hassles, but so far have only experienced minor temporary bugs (phone app occasionally does not have audio, and startup takes a minute if the vehicle is not used for over three days - this is without the complimentary NVIDIA Orin chip upgrade which is being rolled out in phases). There is one thing on my wishlist though: automatic side mirror folding, hopefully that will be possible with Orin. I thought it would take some getting used to driving a larger vehicle but the Pilot pack makes getting in and out of tight spaces a breeze with the 360 camera view. The horsepower, torque, range and overall performance are well in line with my expectations for the price and with the $18K+ incentives Polestar has been offering this car is a great value.…

Amazing car to drive for beta testers!

by Informed lessee on 2/11/2026 7:40:36 PM

We fell in love with the P3 during a test drive when we were doing an early lease turn in for our P2, which we also loved. But the P3 is a whole new level of luxury and performance, as well as beta tester software glitches. The screens are easy to navigate, but numerous in scope. When you need to use the center menu for car functions, the car will remind you not to be distracted by using the menu. In the first couple hundred miles, the glove box refused to close (it's controlled through the dashboard screen), the alarm went off randomly when sitting in the garage (you have to activate a "low sensitivity" setting every time you park), my Google phone works intermittently (iPhone seems to work better in a Google-powered car), among other little glitches. With all this going on, I got a NACS L3 charging adapter in anticipation of an L2 onboard charger failure (a common problem with the P3). Despite this, we're happy with our P3 lease, have no regrets, and look forward to the free upcoming Orin chip upgrade that fixes some of the bugs. In the US, the new chips are just now starting to trickle in so I'm assuming it's still months away.…
